About the Role
We're seeking a skilled and experienced Revenue Accountant to join our team in the Sydney office. Reporting to the Head of Group Accounting, you'll be responsible for managing Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collection, and other Revenue Activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with stakeholders, managing accounts receivable mailbox, and responding to queries
- Assisting with half-year, interim, and year-end reporting and auditing, ensuring compliance with policies and IFRS
- High-level debt reporting for the monthly Board pack
- Monitoring overdue debts and collection
- Preparing and posting manual journals for the release of accrued and deferred revenue, cost of sales, contract costs, and commission, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing customer invoices, credit notes, and receipts, revenue deferral, accrual journals, and revenue variance analysis reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is essential
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software, Workday Financials, and Zoho CRM is desirable
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- An exceptional eye for detail and high level of accuracy while working within strict deadlines
- Advanced Excel modeling skills and good data collation skills
- Continuously striving to improve processes
