Maintenance Planning Role

We're seeking a forward-thinking planner to join our Hedland Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring maintenance strategies are set up for success.

This isn't just about preparing work orders—it's about looking ahead, optimising resources, and creating strategies that drive asset reliability and longevity. Your work will directly influence the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations for years to come.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Build fully scoped and resourced Work Orders well in advance
  • Develop and maintain forward works programs for fixed plant assets
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, Reliability, and Engineering teams to refine scopes and optimise WOs
  • Confirm rotable and parts availability to safeguard planning integrity
  • Coordinate and track projects using PES and DCRM systems
  • Support monthly forecasting and adjust for work churn and operational priorities
  • Link OPEX tasks to CAPEX projects for full lifecycle visibility
  • Analyse shutdown performance outcomes to improve master data and planning strategies
  • Drive master data updates to continuously enhance scheduling accuracy

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in maintenance planning within mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, or manufacturing
  • Deep understanding of Work Management Processes including WO preparation and rotable planning
  • Strong skills for planning, scheduling, and master data management
  • Advanced capability for reporting, forecasting, and data analysis
  • Experience collaborating across Engineering, Maintenance, and Reliability teams
  • Knowledge of shutdown planning, cost tracking, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to forecast workloads and adapt to shifting priorities while keeping long-term objectives in focus
