The successful candidate will work as part of the team in paediatric surgery at the Townsville Hospital and Health Service to provide care as close to home as possible.

The THHS is the only regional tertiary referral centre for northern Queensland and of its kind in Australia. Townsville University Hospital is 1300 km north of Brisbane tertiary services and offers an exciting and unique career opportunity for those searching for a rewarding and diverse clinical experience and lifestyle.

What's on offer:

* A generous remuneration package value up to $495,140 p.a.
* 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
* Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
* Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
* Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a.
* Relocation Incentives

Minimum Requirements:

* Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
* Fellowship or comparability of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
* All applicants must be awarded Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) by the Townsville HHS Credentialing and SoCP committee. All appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
* Travel is a requirement of this position.
* Possession of class C drivers' licence.
* On call: Appointees will be required to participate in an on-call roster.
* Probation period may apply.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
