The Role
This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic industry. As a Senior Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for all costing aspects of the business, evaluating projects and providing accurate estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the authorization of sub-contract and supplier invoices
- Action variations and communicate to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Schedule all material and labour quantities accurately and efficiently through required software packages
- Review, provide feedback, and assist with system improvements to create efficiencies
- Ensure file notes are well maintained and up-to-date using appropriate software
- Assist with technical training and support to other staff as required
Requirements
- Experience as a Scheduler and/or Estimator (not essential but advantageous)
- Understanding of construction methods
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team with a wide group of stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Effective problem-solving skills with an ability to influence individuals or groups to achieve better outcomes
- Practical approach with a drive to improve or exceed goals
