Operations Manager Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient loading of freight at Hazelmere, Western Australia.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safety-first culture to ensure adherence to safety systems, legislative obligations, and customer requirements.
  • Lead and supervise loading teams to achieve freight dispatch KPIs, maximise payloads, and meet accuracy and compliance standards.
  • Oversee trailer allocation and ensure efficient utilisation of fleet resources in coordination with the transport team.
  • Maintain strict compliance with Chain of Responsibility and DG handling requirements.
  • Foster team capability through training, coaching, and recognition of safe behaviour.
  • Provide clear handovers to back-to-back supervisors and operations management to ensure seamless 24/7 operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in loading processes, load planning, and the use of SAP and other warehouse systems.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A proven operator with strong leadership experience in freight loading, warehouse, or transport operations.
  • High-level understanding of load restraint, mass/dimensional compliance, DG handling, and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ability to build a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • SAP or warehouse system experience is desirable.
