Job Description:

As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient loading of freight for our major contract. Based at Hazelmere, Western Australia, you will oversee a high-performing team to ensure trailers are loaded per requirements, fully manifested, and ready for departures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and embed a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to safety systems, legislative obligations, and customer requirements
  • Lead and supervise loading teams to achieve freight dispatch KPIs, maximise payloads, and meet accuracy and compliance standards
  • Oversee trailer allocation and ensure efficient utilisation of fleet resources in coordination with the transport team
  • Maintain strict compliance with Chain of Responsibility and DG handling requirements
  • Foster team capability through training, coaching, and recognition of safe behaviour
  • Provide clear handovers to back-to-back supervisors and operations management to ensure seamless 24/7 operations
  • Drive continuous improvement in loading processes, load planning, and the use of SAP and other warehouse systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a proven operator with strong leadership and hands-on experience in freight loading, warehouse, or transport operations. You must have:

  • Solid supervisory or leadership experience in logistics, transport, or warehouse operations
  • A high-level understanding of load restraint, mass/dimensional compliance, DG handling, and Chain of Responsibility
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management
  • The ability to build a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
  • A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
  • SAP or warehouse system experience is desirable
