Principal Power Systems Engineer

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned power systems engineer to take on a pivotal leadership role in a fast-growing specialist consultancy based in Brisbane.

  • Lead a dynamic team of engineers delivering full generator performance standards studies for utility-scale renewable and grid-connected developments.
  • Act as technical lead on complex projects, owning the client relationship and guiding a team of professionals.

The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to drive technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage enquiry, application, registration, and/or design phases for large energy user and/or renewable energy projects.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including national system planners and asset managers.
  3. Liaise with internal teams to deliver high-quality results and meet client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in PSS/E and PSCAD software.
  • Strong understanding of power systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
