Power Systems Engineer

LOCATION: This role is for BRISBANE.
Type: Full-time DIg SILENT Pacific, a leading power systems consultancy, is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team in Brisbane .
We are offering a full-time position to a motivated and technically strong engineer with a minimum of 3 years' industry experience and a passion for power system modelling, grid integration, and energy market development.
You will be responsible for leading and contributing to projects across transmission, distribution, and generation sectors.
The role is primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork, and we offer flexible and hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities Conduct and lead power system studies, including RMS and EMT analysis.
Undertake regulatory connection studies (R0/R1), due diligence, and GPS compliance.
Develop and validate dynamic models (Power Factory, PSCAD, PSSE).
Provide technical advice to clients and stakeholders, including utilities and developers.
Perform dynamic stability simulations and hold point test assessments.
Support automation and data integration using Power Factory and Python.
Engage in planning and advisory work at both distribution and transmission levels.
Required Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Expertise in DIg SILENT Power Factory (essential).
Proficiency in Python for automation and data analysis.
Strong understanding of NEM regulations and grid connection requirements.
Experience managing new connection applications and working with AEMO and NSPs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across remote teams.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
