Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and coordinate a project that improves the recognition, inclusion, and support of families and carers within the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a practice review and workforce capacity building resources.

About the Role

The Senior Project Officer will work closely with our team to:

  • Lead and coordinate a project to improve the recognition, inclusion, and support of families and carers within the AOD sector
  • Develop and deliver a practice review and workforce capacity building resources
  • Produce high-quality information and capacity building resources
  • Build rapport with team members, other organisations, and service providers
  • Manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading and coordinating a project to improve the recognition, inclusion, and support of families and carers within the AOD sector

  • Producing high-quality information and capacity building resources
  • Building rapport with team members, other organisations, and service providers
  • Managing time effectively and prioritising tasks

  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, health, social sciences, social work, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing projects within the community, health, or AOD sectors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in applying evaluation methodologies
  • Understanding of issues experienced by people living with AOD dependency and their families and carers
