The Assistant Manager role is a pivotal leadership position within our organization. The individual in this role will oversee the operational activities of the service, ensuring they are carried out effectively and efficiently.
This involves complex staff rostering, meeting compliance obligations, and identifying opportunities for improvement across the program consistent with the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). As a leader, the Assistant Manager is also expected to build strong relationships with children, families, and educators, fostering an inviting, engaging, high-quality, and responsive service.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and management experience in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) settings.
- Developing and managing staff rosters to meet regulatory ratio requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with children, families, educators, community, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Managing Compliance and Operations in ECEC settings.
- Service development, including Quality Improvement Plans.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).
