Job Title: ICT Support OfficerJob Summary

We are seeking an experienced ICT Support Officer to join our ICT division. The successful candidate will provide reactive and pro-active level 1 and 2 ICT incident resolution and service request management for applications, software, hardware, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide level 1 – 2 helpdesk support, ensuring all Incidents, Problems and Service Requests are logged, monitored, and tracked using the ICT Service Desk.
  • Ensure Incidents, Problems and Service Requests are escalated to internal support terms or external service providers as required.
  • Identification of and suggestions for possible improvements in procedures and methods to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure application, software, hardware and network incidents are rapidly diagnosed and resolved.
  • Manage service requests for applications, software, hardware and network systems and user administration per established processes.
  • Ensure all Service Requests contain the appropriate level of managerial approval where applicable.
  • Provision of remote and on-site troubleshooting through the application of diagnostic techniques, troubleshooting and pertinent questioning processes.
  • Provision of cellular and satellite communication support, troubleshooting of system and equipment faults.
  • Identification of and suggestions for possible improvements in procedures and methods.
  • Successful installation and configuring of hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and other peripherals.
  • Assistance with ICT projects as required (deployments, migrations, upgrades etc.)
  • Implement and work within the direction set by the ICT General Manager.
  • Complete specific allocated tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively to achieve team goals by communicating effectively and proactively among colleagues to solve problems and understand current imperatives.
  • Compliance with the company Information and Security Management System (ISMS).
Requirements
  • ITIL Certification or relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in a similar role (2 years minimum)
  • Excellent communication and customer service capabilities
  • Knowledge of: Windows Desktops, Office 365 administration, TCP/IP networking, Computer Hardware, Mobile devices, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to enable effective identification and resolution of IT related issues, Experience in an Active Directory environment, Understanding of Microsoft Licensing models, Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel, Understanding of ITIL Service Management
