Job Opportunity

This is a unique chance to work as a rotational hospital pharmacist, covering various locations and providing pharmacy services during staff leave or periods of increased demand.

The role offers stability with a permanent position based at Newcastle Private Hospital when not providing relief cover. The travel allowance, accommodation, and additional benefits provided will enhance your overall experience.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across multiple pharmacy settings and access multidisciplinary services including oncology and clinical pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medication reviews and ensure accurate medication reconciliation.
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate patient medication needs for inpatient stays, day infusions, and discharges.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff, and colleagues.
  • Provide education and advice on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and proper medicine use.
About You
  • Hold general registration with AHPRA, unrestricted practice.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a roadworthy vehicle suitable for frequent travel.
  • Be able to commit to regular travel assignments.
  • Have permanent Australian working rights.
  • Hold personal indemnity insurance.
