Job Title: Healthcare Specialist

This is a highly regarded and dynamic role for an experienced Gastroenterologist to work in a fast-paced gastroenterology environment.

The successful candidate will provide clinical management and intervention for gastroenterology patients across the facility, which is the major cancer care centre for Hunter New England Local Health District.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality clinical services for inpatients admitted under the Gastroenterology Service and participate in bed allocation processes and patient flow according to patient need and hospital requirements.
  • Offer specialist consultation within your field, including provision of outpatient services.
Requirements:
  • Primary Medical Degree registrable with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), with recognised qualifications in Gastroenterology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Staff Specialist Agreement or the Health Insurance Act 1973.
  • Demonstrated current gastroenterology (including endoscopy) clinical practice of a high standard, with ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence-based best practice.
