We are seeking an experienced Payroll Support Officer to join our national payroll team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing weekly payrolls, managing payroll-related queries, and liaising with HR.
The OpportunityThis is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity for 12 months. No two days are the same in this diverse and fast-paced role, where you'll have the chance to develop skills and knowledge in payroll data manipulation, integrations, and workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Process weekly payrolls for salaried, full-time, part-time, and casual staff.
- Manage payroll-related queries and issues using a fresh service ticketing system.
- Liaise with HR regarding staff appointments, terminations, conditions of service, and other relevant matters.
- Process new staff, staff status changes, and terminations.
- Check and maintain employee payroll data within Preceda and associated systems.
- Efficiently process high-volume transactions, including commencements, terminations, leave, allowances, and deductions.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Payroll, financial services, or administrative experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening).
- Previous experience working to deadlines.
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of employment legislation and how it relates to accurate payroll management and processes.
- Experience with Preceda, Kronos HCM, and Dimensions is highly regarded, but not mandatory.
