Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our payroll function and help lead the delivery of timely, accurate, and compliant payroll services across a large employee base.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, help lead process improvements, and be a key point of contact for payroll-related queries. This role is part of a large payroll operation, processing complex, high-volume pay runs on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and process end-to-end payroll for a large, multi-site workforce
  • Interpret awards, EBAs, and relevant legislation
  • Support junior payroll team members and share knowledge across the team
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance on reporting, audits, and system updates
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll delivery
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in end-to-end payroll, preferably in a high-volume environment. They must also have strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, and tax. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential. Additionally, the candidate should be confident using payroll systems and possess excellent communication skills.
