Senior Payroll Specialist

This is a senior payroll position that requires extensive experience and technical expertise to drive improvements in business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing fortnightly payroll for approximately 300 employees across multiple awards, collaborating with managers to ensure data accuracy and timely payroll updates, troubleshooting discrepancies, advising on payroll legislation, and maintaining compliance.
- Process fortnightly payroll for approx. 300 employees across multiple awards
- Collaborate with managers across several sites to ensure data accuracy and timely payroll updates
- Troubleshoot discrepancies, advise on payroll legislation, and maintain compliance
- Contribute to ongoing system migration, testing, and payroll process optimization
- Manage year-end reconciliations, STP, PAYG summaries, and audit reporting
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 5 years of end-to-end payroll experience, solid exposure to payroll system transitions and process improvement, and a strong understanding of awards, compliance, and legislative requirements. You should also be detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated.
You will be working from modern offices in Helensvale, with easy access and parking. The contract term is until the permanent role is filled, with potential to stay on after that. Hours are 38 hours per week, with flexible start times, including Mondays and Fridays worked from home.
