Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teams to migrate Java-based applications (Spring Boot, Tomcat) to infrastructure environments powered by Oracle Exadata.
  • Analyze and adapt JDBC configurations, connection pools, and system properties for Oracle compatibility.
  • Validate application functionality, performance, and connectivity post-migration.
  • Work closely with DBAs and platform teams to troubleshoot performance, tuning, and connectivity issues.
  • Automate environment setup and deployment processes using shell scripting and configuration tools.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of configurations, migration steps, rollback procedures, and validations in a collaborative knowledge base.
  • Track activities, risks, validations, and issues using project management software to support transparent project delivery.
About You
  • Ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience with Java (8+), Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs.
  • Proven track record of deploying Java applications using Apache Tomcat in Linux-based VM environments.
  • Hands-on integration experience with Oracle databases, preferably including Exadata.
  • Strong knowledge of JDBC, connection management, and SQL performance tuning.
  • Proficient in implementing and managing continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Artifactory.
  • Understanding of core infrastructure components: Transport Layer Security, firewalls, Domain Name System, and system services.
  • Proficient in shell scripting (bash or similar) for automation and environment provisioning.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools for JVM and database performance optimization.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and optimize both application logic and underlying database behavior to resolve end-to-end performance issues.
