Position Overview
Thiess is looking for skilled Auto Electricians to join our team for various projects across New South Wales, specifically focusing on coal mine rehabilitation and maintenance. Flexible work schedules are available depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on mobile mining machinery, with a preference for experience with CAT and Liebherr equipment.
- Installing and managing data, power, radio, and GPS antenna cabling through various compartments of heavy mining equipment.
- Delivering high-quality installations, including the mounting, wiring, and testing of electrical systems.
- Adhering to safety protocols in all tasks performed.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Demonstrated experience as an Auto Electrician.
- Relevant post-trade experience in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving sectors.
- The ability to obtain a Certificate of Proficiency from Training NSW.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical personnel.
