Position Overview
Thiess is currently in search of experienced Auto Electricians to join our operations focused on mobile mining equipment maintenance and repair. These positions are available across various sites, including significant projects in coal mine rehabilitation and heavy machinery workshops.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be tasked with:
- Conducting comprehensive servicing, repairs, and maintenance on mobile mining machinery, with a preference for experience in CAT and Liebherr brands.
- Installing and managing data, power, radio, and GPS antenna cables through bulkheads, panels, and access points in heavy equipment compartments.
- Delivering high-quality installations, which include mounting, wiring, and thorough testing of electrical systems.
- Adhering to safety protocols to ensure all tasks are performed in a secure manner.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- Demonstrated experience as an Auto Electrician.
- Relevant post-trade experience in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving sectors.
- The ability to obtain a Certificate of Proficiency from Training NSW.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical personnel.
