About This Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an inspiring leader to support us in driving leadership, culture, strategy, and performance based on our corporate values.

The Director will provide strategic leadership across all of Council's civil functions, including roads, stormwater, drainage, floodplain management water and wastewater, resource recovery, infrastructure planning and asset management.

This role involves leading a team of approximately 150 staff, providing strategic direction and oversight to achieve outstanding outcomes through people.

  • Developing the workforce and promoting change
  • Engaging stakeholders and managing relationships
  • Representing Council in various forums with high professionalism
  • Delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Providing informed recommendations and solving problems in a complex work environment

For success in this role, you will bring an approachable and engaging leadership style that positively demonstrates Council's values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe. You will also possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant field complemented by extensive experience.
