Veolia is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join its high-performing function. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert health and safety compliance advice to operational management and support personnel to achieve safety excellence and maximize company safety performance through audit, engagement, training, investigation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building strong and engaging working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Leading incident investigations and reporting to ensure timely and effective resolution
  • Conducting inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule to identify and mitigate risks
  • Being proactive in promoting health and safety and continuously improving business processes
  • Being visible across the workplace, building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders by spending time in the field

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in WHS (Cert 4 or greater) and demonstrable industry experience
  • Qualification in incident investigation (such as ICAM) or relevant experience
  • Effective influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organization
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant WHS legislation, including Chain of Responsibility
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
