About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Health Specialist to join our team at GHD. As a key member of our Operational Asset Management Support Service (AMSS) contract, you will work closely with our client Main Roads WA to manage and maintain the State Road network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the safety function for the Wheatbelt area, including Main Roads offices in Northam, Narrogin, and associated project sites
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, reviewing records for trends and/or inconsistent data via desktop investigation
  • Facilitate toolbox meetings for routine maintenance and direct managed work crews
  • Manage incident investigations and reports, following up with procedures and associated documentation
  • Maintain records using MRWA systems and software, including TRIM, INX (EQSafe), and Risk Management protocols/guidelines

Requirements

  • 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in safety management
  • Experience in safety in an operational organisation
  • Sound understanding of WHS regulations
  • Mentoring and coaching experience
  • Implementation and training of safety systems

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Cert 4 WHS
  • Certification in Lead Investigation (ICAM or similar), obtained within the last 5 years
  • Internal Auditor certification
  • Collecting Specimen for Alcohol and Drug Testing
