Salary

We offer a highly competitive salary package for this role, estimated to be around AU$150,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a market-aligned salary, our annual discretionary performance bonus scheme provides an opportunity to earn up to 20% of your annual salary.

Job Description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Bechtel, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver medium to large EPC and EPCM projects. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical systems, components, and processes. You will resolve technical issues, support project stakeholders, and ensure that unique and complex requirements of a project's electrical engineering aspects are met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant work experience in FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering preferably in an EPC industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, oil, and gas plants.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Australian Mining and Metals industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical system studies using ETAP/DIgSilent Power factory software to produce short circuit, load flow, motor starting & voltage drop, relay setting & protection coordination, arc flash, and earthing studies.
  • Previous experience in preparation of single line diagrams, schematics, load lists, MV and LV cable calculations, cable schedules, equipment lists, and material take-offs.
