The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team in Mount Isa. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance of our clients' fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment. Your primary duties will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on a range of specialist mining equipment, including underground development and production drills.
  • Conducting inspections and fault diagnosis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Providing feedback to improve maintenance planning and efficiency.
  • Recording parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time records.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures, particularly those related to EHS.
  • Supporting technicians from other regions and assisting in training.
  • Working effectively in a team environment or autonomously.
  • Assisting with machine audits and inspections.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with Sandvik Underground mining equipment.
  • A strong safety culture and commitment to EHS policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and motivation to achieve targets and goals.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Class C Manual Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug and alcohol testing.
