About the Centre

Our facility features a six lane, 33 metre lap pool, along with a toddler's pool. We're set amidst beautiful surroundings, providing plenty of space for families and groups to enjoy.

About the Role

As a Lifeguard at one of our outdoor pools, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. You'll be patient, focused and friendly, helping to keep pool-users informed and safe. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • supervising large aquatic spaces while proactively ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
  • maintaining concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems
  • ensuring facility rules are being obeyed, while educating users about safe aquatic practices
  • carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, the facility and equipment

This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements and opportunities for career development.

About You

We are seeking motivated, organised and proactive Lifeguards to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users. Other essential qualities include:

  • ability to make decisions under pressure
  • conflict management skills
  • ability to stay alert and vigilant in a repetitive work environment
  • multitasking abilities
  • excellent customer service skills
  • experience in the Aquatics and Leisure industry an advantage
Essential Qualifications
  • Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (funding may be available)
  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
