Chef Manager Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.

  • About the Role:
  • We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef Manager who has a strong background in catering for aged care residents.
  • The successful candidate will have a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, as well as experience in managing stock levels, IDDSI, staff supervision, and allergen management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, ordering, and inventory management.
  • Manage a team of cooks and kitchen assistants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Certification:
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in the residential care or health care sectors.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
