About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Career Advisor for Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

The role involves ongoing contact with apprentices and their employers regarding progress, determining the need for additional support, and resolving potential issues to improve completion rates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building meaningful phone contact with apprentices, trainees, and employers to improve retention and completion rates.
  • Detecting basic and complex issues to be resolved.
  • Understanding the Australian Apprenticeship System (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication, liaison, and networking capabilities.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office and using external computer-based databases.
  • Interpreting Government guidelines and related legislation.

A well-organized individual who can work autonomously and thrive in a busy environment is suitable for this position.

Requirements

We are seeking individuals with the following skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and other computer-based tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Australian Apprenticeship System knowledge is preferred but not essential.
