Salary Package

The salary package for this role includes $70ph-$80ph, making it an attractive offer for professionals seeking financial stability.

Job Description

As a Senior Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all tax-related matters within the organization. This involves working closely with the Finance Director and the wider Finance team to meet set timeframes and deadlines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing annual taxation preparation, BAS, FBT, and employee share scheme lodgement with the ATO.
  • Reviewing and lodging monthly and annual payroll tax returns.
  • Preparing FBT returns, including analysis of entertainment, property benefits, expense payment benefits, and residual benefits.
  • Maintaining the tax fixed asset register, including software development pool and capital works.
  • Liaising with transfer pricing advisers for the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Coordinating with R&D advisers for the provision of information for R&D tax incentive claims.
  • Preparation and lodgement of annual withholding tax on interest and royalty paid to non-residents.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also need to liaise with regulators such as the ATO, Office of State Revenue, and financial institutions as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Qualification as a CA/CPA.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Australian Taxation standards.
  • Experience in preparing a variety of taxation lodgements.
  • Working knowledge of a treasury function.
  • Ability to work independently while building rapport with stakeholders.
