Principal Environmental Scientist

AECOM's Environment Business in Perth is seeking an experienced environmental professional to join our high-performing Impact Assessment & Permitting (IAP) Team. As a Principal Environmental Scientist, you will play a key role in delivering excellence in client-service on projects across various markets, including Power, Mining, Transport, and Defence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate environmental impact assessments and approvals on high-profile projects, working closely with industry specialists.
- Collaborate with Management Teams to ensure environmental matters are appropriately considered and managed throughout project development and construction.
- Project manage, develop bids, and build relationships with clients and stakeholders on a range of projects.
- Provide technical leadership and manage multidisciplinary technical teams to identify risks, solve problems, and communicate change through planning, design, and approval processes.
- Support the growth of our business and foster environmental planning and approvals across the region.
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, such as environmental science.
- Strong environmental impact assessment experience, approvals, or planning approvals across multiple market sectors and a good industry reputation.
- Demonstrated experience working on major projects.
- Solid project management and coordination skills, with commercial acumen to effectively manage resources, timelines, quality, and budgets.
- Emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive peer and client relationships.
- Strong team player, influencer, and collaborator.
- Good communicator with proven technical knowledge and a strong client focus.
