Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Quality and Compliance Officer - Policy Development. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring a robust clinical and operational governance framework is in place across St Vincent's Care.

The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with Australian Aged Care Quality Agency Accreditation Standards and manage risks as part of the quality framework. This position will work collaboratively with the Service Delivery Governance Unit to achieve the best outcomes for our consumers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and legislation.
  • Support the Team Leader in identifying new initiatives to improve sustainability in the unit.
  • Manage policies and procedures, and support other Service Delivery Governance teams' requirements or systems.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nursing Degree with unrestricted AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential aged care.
  • Comprehensive understanding of aged care Quality Standards.
  • Previous experience in the development of policies and processes.
  • Proficiency in clinical management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Stakeholder management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in implementing a care management system or upgrades – adherence to schedule and scope.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both as a team player and on their own.
  • Energetic, dynamic, with effective time management skills.
  • Current National Police Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
