The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, promoting, and exhibiting high-quality authentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art. This involves collaborating with artists to further develop their expertise, participating in the wider arts industry, earning an income from their visual arts practice, recording and preserving their culture, accessing training and employment opportunities, and engaging in intergenerational learning and cross-cultural exchange.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering cultural programs and initiatives
  • Building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, communities, and stakeholders
  • Supporting the development and operation of the Coolamon Arts Hub
