Ambassadors for Mental Health Services

We are committed to ensuring that our services meet the needs of consumers and carers. To achieve this, we have established a Consumer and Family Reference Group (CAFRG) to provide input into all aspects of our service.
The CAFRG comprises current and previous clients, their family supports and staff who collaborate to discuss and contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of our services.
Membership is open to external mental health consumers and carers, providing diverse backgrounds with varying experiences of mental health services. This allows us to leverage different perspectives to improve our service.
Our aim is to ensure that our services meet consumer needs and provide a positive service experience for everyone involved.
To support this goal, members can expect to develop strategies for a psychosocially safe organisational culture and welcoming environment.
Regular meetings take place on a monthly basis from February to November each year. These meetings are essential for members to contribute their expertise and insights.
Members will receive a sitting fee of $131.25 per scheduled 3-hour meeting (includes 30 minutes paid preparation time). Expressions of interest can be made by completing the application form when applying.
