Job Title: Water Engineering Team Leader

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our team of engineers in the water engineering sector. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership and management skills, driving the team's success through strategic planning, effective communication, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, fostering accountability, motivation, and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Onboarding and Recruitment: Oversee the onboarding process for new engineers, ensuring effective integration and training. Work with HR and the Engineering Manager to implement recruitment strategies, including candidate selection and interviews.
  • Maintenance Forecasting and Planning: Analyze maintenance forecasts and develop action plans to ensure schedules are met in line with company targets.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance tasks, such as Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and ladder inspections, are completed accurately and on time.
  • Scheduling and Availability: Manage team schedules to ensure availability for planned and ad-hoc maintenance tasks.
  • Equipment Security: Oversee secure lock-up procedures for equipment and facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a mix of office-based and field-based work. May require travel to operational sites.

A fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and proactive leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering: Relevant certifications preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within maintenance or engineering.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, including PAT testing, ladder inspections, and health and safety regulations.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Familiarity with Scheduling Tools: Familiarity with forecasting and scheduling tools.
