About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ammonia Process Technician to join our team at Incitec Pivot Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ammonia plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Meet production volume, safety, and quality targets in accordance with set standards.
  • Safety and Quality: Perform housekeeping duties, resolve operating issues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development: Complete training modules and be signed off in ammonia plant operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in departmental safety programs, monitor plant condition, and intervene if necessary.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform minor maintenance on plant and equipment, and assist in maintenance activities to aid in timely restart of the plant.
  • Start-up and Shutdown: Participate in execution of start-up and shutdown of plant when required.
About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, has a demonstrated ability to learn easily, and possesses leadership qualities including the ability to work well with others while also being their own individual. You will display a desire to progress within our department, be a committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and achieving results.

Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous ammonia plant process experience is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and work to tight deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: High levels of mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills, with exposure to process control systems and DCS systems.
  • Education: Trade qualification is desired.
