Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Field Application Scientist in our Life Sciences Solutions Group.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach. They will be responsible for providing support to clinical customers in the areas of precision medicine and reproductive health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and product information to customers.
  • Design and conduct experiments to validate the use of Thermo Fisher Scientific systems in customer laboratories.
  • Train clinical laboratory scientists on the use and maintenance of our systems and software.
  • Prepare presentations and run seminars and workshops to educate customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Assist the sales team in achieving their order plans by planning and driving post-sales customer support activities tailored to the product line.
  • Resolve customer queries through remote or onsite troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Play a key role in introducing and supporting new products and applications.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher education.
  • Experience in reproductive health and/or precision medicine testing, training clinical laboratory staff on the use of scientific equipment.
  • Excellent understanding of clinical genomics and genomic databases (Gen Bank, Ref Seq, ENSEMBL, db SNP).
  • Demonstrated computer and data analysis skills, ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Customer-focused mindset, able to think and implement with a customer-centric perspective.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable delivering presentations.
  • Ability to share information clearly and consistently with customers and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and engaged, goal-oriented individual.

  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Computer and internet knowledge.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Approachable manner.
