Job Title

Senior Technical Solutions Manager

As a senior technical leader, you will play a pivotal part in the evolution of ICT capability across a policing agency. This encompasses provision of ICT infrastructure and communication platforms, operational software applications, and support services.

You will oversee the Mobility Portfolio's program of product development and delivery, including both in-house and third-party solutions. Your work under broad direction will focus on achieving portfolio priorities.

The role contributes to delivering the agency's priorities, including efficient and unified department operating systems and processes.

Key initiatives include delivery of two flagship programs: the Mobile Workforce Program (MWP) and the Digital Workforce Program (DWP). These programs represent an enterprise multi-year technology transformation program that will usher in the future workplace and deliver IT solutions for next-generation policing.

  • Driving rapid delivery of high-quality changes with minimal lead time through effective implementation of ITIL Change Enablement practices
  • Coordinating effective Release Management and aligning with Organisational Change Management to ensure stakeholder awareness and adoption
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive product and portfolio delivery roadmap
  • Effectively managing interdependencies with other strategic programs and BAU initiatives
  • Providing effective leadership to teams of technical experts

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of ICT service management, software development, and cloud computing
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in managing and improving an ICT technical service
  • In-depth knowledge of product development methodologies, principles, and practices
