Corporate Finance Executive

We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Finance Executive to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. This is a critical role that offers the opportunity to work with an amazing team and contribute to the bank's rapid growth.

About the Role

You will report to the Executive Director Corporate Finance and be responsible for originating and executing large and complex transactions within the Major Client Group (MCG). Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the MCG network to identify and originate event-driven finance transactions from within the MCG client base.
  • Generating and presenting potential ideas to clients or determining internal growth opportunities for MCG.
  • Ownership of transaction execution, including deal structuring, process management, documentation, and post-deal management.
  • Building relationships with key clients and external stakeholders, including referral sources.

The estimated salary for this role is $200,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

This role has accountability for delivering on revenue and balance sheet growth targets while managing the risk profile of clients. You will also be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining strong relationships with senior client executives.
  2. Providing guidance and support to junior team members.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A background in Leveraged Finance, Project Finance, or Corporate Advisory with a strong understanding of credit risk and execution experience.
  • Significant experience in client leadership roles with a major commercial or investment bank.
  • Strong sales leadership capability and the ability to originate transaction opportunities.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Business/Finance, CFA, MBA, Masters Finance, or Accounting qualifications CPA, CA.
