Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Planning Compliance Officer to join our Regional City Planning Department on a temporary full-time basis.

The role involves investigating alleged breaches of planning regulations, taking action to ensure compliance and raising awareness of planning controls among the community and developers.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Investigate alleged breaches of planning regulations
  • Take action to ensure compliance
  • Raise awareness of planning controls among the community and developers

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A proven track record in enforcement and compliance activities
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation including the Planning and Environment Act
  • Ability to interpret and communicate planning legislation and policies clearly
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn specialised systems
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence

Desirable Qualifications

Planning or Environmental Management qualifications would be advantageous.
