
Compliance and Enforcement Team Lead

As a Compliance and Enforcement Team Leader, you will oversee a team of professionals responsible for enforcing regulations related to tobacco licensing in Victoria. The role involves leading inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in conducting complex compliance and enforcement functions within a regulatory or law enforcement environment. Strong stakeholder management skills are also essential, as well as the ability to interpret and operationalise legislation and support the judicial process.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of staff undertaking compliance and enforcement functions, including resource allocation, budget planning, and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, lead, and deliver compliance and enforcement actions, including intelligence-led and risk-based work programs and investigations.
- Provide guidance to staff on appropriate compliance and enforcement action in accordance with policies and procedures, responding to identified breaches of laws, regulations, or conditions.
- A Certificate IV in Government Investigations or relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable, along with significant experience leading compliance and enforcement operations or investigations in a regulatory or law enforcement context.
- A Victorian Driver's Licence (or equivalent) is required.
