
Leisure Facility Manager Opportunity

Opportunity to take on a challenging role in leisure facility management.
This is a 6-month contract for maternity leave position. As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the centre, including operational, financial, and program deliverables. Your key accountabilities include ensuring safety and well-being of visitors and employees, coaching and developing leaders to deliver KPIs, leading a high-performance community-minded culture, achieving budgeted performance targets, maintaining high-value relationships with local Council, and implementing customer service propositions that address client needs.
About You
We are looking for a proven leader who can drive vision and energy, with passion for leisure and commitment to delivering exceptional business outcomes. You should have a minimum 2 years' experience in managing similar leisure or aquatic facilities, with highly developed communication skills and sound knowledge of health and safety legislation. Desired skills include tertiary qualifications in a related field and function or events experience.
The Role
You will work closely with the centre's leadership team, stakeholders, and local Council to develop and execute plans. With experience in leadership, financial, and risk management, you will be able to drive the centre's overall success. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to utilize their skills and experience in the leisure industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes, and procedures.
- Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning, and individual development plans.
- Lead and drive a high-performance community-minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
- Achieve budgeted performance targets.
- Maintain high-value relationship with local Council.
- Implement a high-value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base.
- Recruit energetic, diverse, and passionate employees as required to complement the team and the vision for the centre.
- Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
- Identify staff and develop career progression paths that lead to transparent and effective succession decisions when required.
- Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.
