The Opportunity:

Location: Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Remote

We are seeking an Expression of Interest for a talented Project Coordinator.

The Project Coordinator holds a critical role in overseeing and managing the execution of a sustainment project within Defence.

This role demands a deep understanding of Defence systems, technologies, and operations, coupled with strong leadership and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and leadership, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of the sustainment project, ensuring efficient resource allocation, risk mitigation, and milestone achievement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and integration of program components.
  • Draft and contribute to all Commonwealth required document deliverables.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and successes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within project management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not essential.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in defence project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of defence systems, technologies, and industry regulations.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and acquisition processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
