Job Title:

Senior Curriculum Specialist - Maths, Science and Technologies

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of curriculum programs in Maths, Science and Technologies. This will involve working closely with faculty teams to ensure alignment with school and departmental priorities.

In this role, you will also be responsible for promoting high-quality teaching and learning practices, and contributing to the vision of the Early Childhood and State Schools Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs in Maths, Science and Technologies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to ensure students are equipped and encouraged to succeed
  • Line manage VET delivery and oversee engagement in vocational pathways
  • Monitor student behaviour patterns and wellbeing, offering targeted support for case-managed students
  • Track and analyse senior student data to identify those at risk, designing and implementing targeted interventions to ensure students remain on track to achieve their Queensland Certificate of Education
Requirements

Applicants must have a strong background in education and a proven ability to lead and manage teams. They must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

It is desirable for applicants to have experience in teaching Mathematics, Physics and/or Chemistry.
