Job Title: National Tankers Manager

Job Description

This pivotal role is centered around tanker maintenance processes and project management, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of tankers. As a national tanker project manager, you will oversee fleet compliance and maintenance, develop procurement strategies, and collaborate with the engineering team to optimize tanker design and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the compliance and maintenance of the LPG and cryogenic tanker fleet.
  • Develop and manage new tanker or equipment procurements, ensuring inventory maintenance and critical part availability.
  • Support Dangerous Goods bulk transport regulations and manage contractor sourcing locally and internationally.
  • Deliver the re-horsing program for existing tankers.
  • Collaborate with engineers to review tanker designs, maximizing payload and maintaining compliance.
  • Develop technical documentation and specifications for tankers.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience in tanker maintenance within the industrial gas or LPG industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline are desirable.
  • Practical experience in project or maintenance management involving bulk vehicles, with essential knowledge of LPG or industrial gases and transport vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics, focusing on risk management, governance, and Australian standards.
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - MEX is advantageous.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple deliverables.
  • Comprehensive grasp of commercial drivers contributing to effective decision-making.
