Mobility Solutions Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mobility Solutions Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a specialist, you will be responsible for providing customised solutions to support the mobility and posture needs of individuals with disabilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Orthotics and Prosthetics, with experience working as a clinician within the disability sector. They will also possess knowledge of strengths-based practice, family and person-centred approaches, and be able to lead critical reflection and apply theoretical frameworks to inform clinical practice.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality services that meet individual needs. You will also participate in emerging opportunities, such as research, pilot projects, and service innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment, measurement, fabrication, and provision of mobility solutions suited to the specific needs of adults and children with disabilities.
  • Provision of comprehensive mobility services in line with various funding body requirements.
  • Fabrication of orthoses using traditional and/or digital methodologies.
  • Provision of centre-based and community-based services (where appropriate).
  • Provision of multidisciplinary solutions alongside our Allied Health team.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participation in emerging opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  • Current registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Experience working as a clinician within the disability sector.
  • Knowledge of strengths-based practice and family and person-centred approaches.
  • Experience in leading critical reflection and applying theoretical frameworks.
