About the PositionThe Senior Risk Analyst will navigate various levels within departments to comprehend and design business processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance and effective risk management. This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Main Responsibilities- Support the Risk & Controls team in enhancing the internal controls certification process and perform quarterly reporting procedures to support certifications.
- Facilitate the preparation and submission of quarterly Internal Controls memos, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in alignment with requirements.
- Coordinate company-wide quarterly SOX certification, ensuring accurate ownership, process setup, effective communication, and timely coordination with R&C team members.
- Provide ad-hoc support related to SOX, leadership, and project reporting, coordinating with risk and business owners as needed.
- Oversee the SOC control assessment process, including report collection, review coordination, and resolution of issues with relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct process walkthroughs, develop risk and control matrices (RACMs), and perform design and operational testing of internal controls.
- Identify, standardize, and improve process and controls documentation in collaboration with business owners.
- Support risk event and issues management processes by assessing and resolving risk events, guiding post-event remediation, and maintaining issue logs and action plans to ensure timely closure of items impacting the control environment.
- Assist in facilitating risk programs by coordinating with subject matter experts, assessing impacts from multiple risk perspectives, and ensuring thorough documentation and reporting to leadership.
- Analyze and identify risks and control weaknesses in business processes and other business compliance topics.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including flow charts, process narratives, and risk and control matrices.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4 to 6 years of progressive work experience with excellent knowledge of auditing various business operations and risk-based auditing.
- Previous experience in risk and control functions or internal/external audit within a multinational/global organization or Big4 accounting firm.
- Proven success in improving risk management/SOX, preferably in a fast-moving e-commerce environment.
- Thorough understanding of internal control concepts (SOX & COSO) and experience applying them in various business areas/functions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio.
- Finance experience preferred; e-commerce or travel industry experience a plus.
