Compensation Analyst Role Summary

This role is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of improved payroll processes. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our organization as a Compensation Analyst.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of compensation awards, collective agreements, and statutory requirements.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager and working closely alongside HR, the main tasks will include:

  • Providing advanced expertise and specialist advice for compensation awards, collective agreements, and statutory requirements
  • Delivering a consultative approach to rectifying and advising on appropriate courses of action
  • Providing value-added analysis and commentary to stakeholders across the organization
  • Interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques, and providing recommendations
  • Providing compensation support for key projects related to the implementation of new and existing systems
  • Assisting with compensation management within the division for major business and/or system changes

To be a success in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar compensation analyst position using comparable software
  • Confidence in leading analytical projects and recommending change
  • Understanding of and experience interpreting Awards/EBAs
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate complex matters in a simplified manner
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a keen desire to lead change
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with clear communication techniques
