New Product Development Chemist Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to develop innovative personal care products that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop novel personal care product concepts based on market trends and customer needs.
  • Formulate essential oil blends and aromatherapy products with a focus on cost-effectiveness and usage.
  • Prepare prototype products for quality control and customer evaluation.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and create work instructions for production.
  • Manage raw material and finished product data in our database.
  • Scale up pilot production and oversee the initial manufacturing process.
  • Presentation of products to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment and update of our library of ingredients and products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific research on essential oils and vegetable oils.
  • Representation of the organization at industry and scientific events.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences is required.
  • Experience in laboratory, manufacturing, or R&D is essential.
  • Familiarity with the personal care, aromatherapy, and fragrance industries is desirable.
  • Knowledge of essential oils and aromatherapy is beneficial.
