Job Title: Project Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Director to oversee construction works on-site. The successful candidate will manage stakeholders, schedule, risk, safety, quality, communications, and lead complex projects and programs as the key client interface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage stakeholders, schedule, risk, safety, quality, communications, and lead complex projects and programs as the key client interface.
  • Support lead project manager in other project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders of the project.
  • Develop working relationships, problem-solving, and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Manage the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations.
  • Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs-saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
  • Manage project safety and environmental requirements.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and reporting.
  • Manage project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track.
  • Chair project/site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Be engaged with marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years project management experience, preferably gained within the hi-tech/data centres environment.
  • Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Has obtained chartered status or on path to achieving this.
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Design, management, or construction experience gained within the general construction environment, ideally residential, office, fit-outs, and health & education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
