About the Role

Xero is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead our strategic projects and drive business growth. As a key member of our Programs and Delivery team, you will be responsible for managing a team of project managers and coordinators, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, on budget, and to the desired quality and scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project management resources to support great project delivery across Xero.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of projects, ensuring they meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Facilitate the definition of scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop fit-for-purpose project management plans and approaches.
  • Assemble project teams from internal and external resource pools as required, and champion processes and practices that enable project teams to do great work.
  • Role-model exemplary leadership, supporting and growing the next generation of project managers and coordinators at Xero.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing and leading larger project teams in a fast-paced, modern business.
  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments and balance priorities.
  • Proven experience improving business processes across complex teams and organizations.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects, applying different approaches (agile, waterfall, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of financial and business operations processes.
