About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned Project Director to oversee construction works on-site. This individual will be responsible for managing stakeholders, schedules, risks, safety, quality, and communications. Additionally, they will support the lead project manager with other project deliverables, coordinate with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders, and lead complex projects and programs as the main client interface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design process to achieve client requirements and manage expectations
  • Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs-saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, and more
  • Manage project safety and environmental requirements, timelines, risks, and reporting
  • Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep the budget on track
  • Chair project/site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Participate in marketing and business development initiatives and coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably in the hi-tech/data centers environment
  • Professionally qualified in construction, project management, engineering, or architecture
  • Chartered status or on the path to achieving it
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of main project management concepts, tools, and techniques
  • Design, management, or construction experience in the general construction environment, ideally residential, office, fit-outs, and health & education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
